Recommended Posts

From southwark cyclists;

This week we have one Southwark Healthy Ride with registration on Eventbrite as usual. When you register on Eventbrite, link details below, please give a phone number as it may be needed for Track and Trace. If you cannot make it, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. Even at the last minute it is worth cancelling.

Butterfly Ride

10.00 am to 12.30 pm. Start/finish Peckham Square, next to Peckham Library and Peckham Pulse Leisure Centre, SE15 5RY. Bruce leading his award-winning ride on a 9 mile loop through parks and open spaces where hopefully we will see some butterflies.

The Ride coincides with the Big Butterfly Count. We will not be counting, but will visit good places to count if you are inspired to return. Main sites to be visited: Peckham Rye Park (wildflower meadows), Ruskin Park (Nature Reserve), Myatts Fields (wild area), Burgess Park (wild flower bank).

Easy ride with plenty of time allowed for hunting for butterflies. Fingers crossed this good weather continues. Route at http://goo.gl/v14knG . More information about the Big Butterfly Count at http://www.bigbutterflycount.org/. Report from July 22nd 2017 ride at http://healthyrider.weebly.com/healthy-ride-reports-june-july-2017.html.

    • That is horrific.  I can't even believe that this a thing.  Really what planet do these so called humans live on...    It actually says that the little fluff balls will be gassed.    It should be illegal.  At least one person took the time to read the letter.   I am shocked.
    • Looking for some advice here! Our little one is sleeping, finally, but still gets upset when going to bed or waking up. Has anyone tried one of the star/galaxy projectors you can get for them at night, and does it distract and sooth them enough to send them to sleep? Recommendations are very welcome here, as there are many different options online, from the suspiciously cheap to eye wateringly expensive. Is it a case of you get what you pay for? Advice gratefully received! LL
    • Wouldn't it be better to have a stall at North Cross Road market with a board explaining what they do rather than obstructing the pavement by "explaining" to people what they do one by one?
    • PETA are on to it,  makes horrendous reading, thanks for bringing it to our attention.💔
