Very long shot here but i can't help my partner tonight to collect a washing machine near the end of peckham rye park on forrest hill road whuch was offered to us and we realy need it. I am pregnant so it's too heavy for me to carry.

Would someone be able to help us just to put it in the car when we pick it up there. We would find help from neighbours when we arrive at home but know nobody near the area of pick up.

- Is that literally from the pavement into a car or from within the house itself ?

- will it go into the car on its side ? If so has the water in the pump been drained ?

- if the boot of the car has a lip what is the height ?

- roughly what time this evening ?

Hi, thanks for your message.

For the pick-up:

the washing machine is in the garden so ground floor level, there is a side return and a ramp down the street.

We have an ok trolley to help roll it but the main job would be to put it into the van so my boyfriend doesn't hurt his back.

I think the water pump's been drained, but unsure...

- if the boot of the car has a lip what is the height ?

At the back, I don't know it's a Zipcar Volkswagen transporter.

- Roughly what time this evening ?

Between 6:00 and 6:30.

Best,

Neila.

    • I also strongly agree. My third daughter was lucky enough to get a place and it’s been the  most wonderful experience. The staff are simply amazing and truly care and love the children. I wish my older two children had been lucky enough to attend.
    • Halfmoon Montessori is simply amazing. Staff are so loving and nurturing. My daughter loves it there. They usually close at 3pm as they work with the local schools in the area but now offer wrap around care on some days.

Clearly this is an unhelpful model of instruction, but, given the ducklings have been born and will not survive without parental care (unless they are hand reared in the school - which I doubt has the capacity of skill for this) then gassing them is the most 'humane' action. The school should perhaps have thought through what is the likely outcome for ducklings which are not being reared by either skilled farmers or ducks. I suspect that the duckings would not be saleable to farmers having been initially born and raised in circumstances which were not sterile for introduction into larger flocks.
