Hello

I thought it was worth posting here because I know single parents pop by on this board from time to time.

We live in a lovely 3 bed house In East Dulwich on a very friendly road. My housemate (another single mum) has fallen in love and will be moving in with here sweetheart early April. I'd love to stay in the house, it was completely refurbished 6 months ago, new carpets, kitchen, bathroom, windows, everything! And we've only just moved here, my son loves this road, goes to school locally and to be honest I don't think there is better place to live.

This might also suit a single parent, or a coparent, or a small family who are saving up and don't want high rental costs.

There are a number of room options, the master bedroom for a single or couple at 600-700pcm, depending on couple or single, or a smaller double at 550pcm, excluding bills. Or for a single parent, pref with a boy as I have a son and they would share a room, a straight 825pcm split. This works quite well for babysitting etc, and there's no reason why it would only suit a single parent -- as a couple you'd get some time out! Or maybe someone who is expecting a baby and feeling daunted about the handling the prospect alone?

More information PM me or call 07751 382 862. I'm often away at weekends and holidays so there would be plenty of time to have the house to yourself :-)

    • Labour was right not to increase fuel duty - it's not just motorists it affects, but goods transport. Fuel goes up, inflation goes up. Inflation will go up now anyway, and growth will stagnate, because businesses will pass the employee NIC hikes onto customers.  I think farms should be exempt from the 20% IHT. I don't know any rich famers, only ones who work their fingers to the bone. But it's in their blood and taking that, often multi-generation, legacy out of the family is heart-breaking. Many work to such low yields, and yet they'll often still bring a lamb to the vet, even if the fees are more than the lamb's life (or death) is worth. Food security should be made a top priority in this country. And, even tho the tax is only for farms over £1m, that's probably not much when you add it all up. I think every incentive should be given to young people who want to take up the mantle.
