We have got a lovely double room for a single user available in a two story house with garden available now in Crystal Palace Road.


The room is on the first floor facing the rear, so is very quiet. It?s a great size, with a double bed and wardrobe.


There are 4 rooms in the house,there is not living room.


It is a professional house-share with three others (a male and two females)


The kitchen has a two large fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and hob, dryer, washing machine etc. The bathroom has a powerful shower, sink and separate toilet. There is a free parking space available at the back of the house


The house is well connected for transport. There are bus-stops (route 40 to Aldgate, route 185 to Victoria, route176 to Holborn , route 12 to Oxford Circus ) within 50m of the house for travel in both directions. There are also very nearby buses that go to Brixton.


East Dulwich Station is about 5 minutes on the bus or 15 minutes walk. From here you can go by rail ?using oyster card to London Bridge in 10 minutes.


Denmark Hill Station ( overground , rail and thameslink) is about 10 minutes on the bus or a 20 min walk. From here, as well as the overground in both directions, you can go by rail - using your oyster card - to Victoria (14mins), Elephant & Castle (8mins), Blackfriars (20mins) King's Cross (28mins) and lots of other places.


Also within 2 mins walk of the house there is a Sainsbury, a dry cleaners, a few newsagents and grocers, a doctors surgery, a post office, Dulwich Library and some simple cafes/restaurants/takeaways at the top of Lordship Lane.

In the other side of Lordship Lane about a 5 minutes walk away (or a shorter bus journey) has lots of independent delicatessens, restaurants, bars, cinema cafes, and all kind of shops.


The lovely Horniman Museum and gardens are a 6 minute by bus up the hill. Dulwich Park is a 5 minutes walk, Dulwich Village is just beyond - try the Crown and Greyhound pub for a good Sunday roast with a pint or, if you want to treat someone, book a table at the Dulwich Picture Gallery restaurant.


We speak English, French and Spanish


All bills included internet, gas, electricity, water rates and council tax.?700 per month.


Minimum contract 6 month

      I've been going to the gym for many years. I was initially disappointed with the refurb when I first arrived back, as it did not have a lot of the previous equipment I used and it seemed under-stocked in terms of machinery. However, upon returning a second time I have now seen that have added more machinery to the main floor. I'm not expecting them to bring back the machines I previously used, but there are some useful additions, such as the vertical climbing machine and there are now 3 stair-masters instead of 2. The weighted hack squat machine and hip thrust machine are plus points as well. Provided it doesn't get overcrowded (like it was when I first arrived) I think it can still be a good place to work out.

      Scary, scary times. We have all been brought up to fear the 1984-style dystopian world where governments control communication and use it to oppress and yet it seems that actually we needed to fear the people building the communication channels (although clearly Trump is pulling the strings). With news this week that Meta is also relaxing moderation and fact-checking we are heading into uncharted territory.  Labour were very clever with their social media strategy in the run-up to the election and now social media is a huge threat to them and is disrupting and distracting. The concern with social media prior to this was with the threat from the likes of Tik-Tok because of their links to China. Perhaps the only outcome we can wish for is that Trump falls out with Musk (it will definitely happen at some point because those two big egos are like oil and water) and Musk turns the tables on him, but then who will Musk align himself with then. Maybe this will actually end-up with people waking up to the fact that there is a generation of kids who believe everything they read on social media and that that was becoming a dangerous precedent because whomever controlled the platform controlled the narrative.
