Looking for a nanny share from July

Hi,

We are moving to East Dulwich (Underhill Road at the Horniman Museum end) in July and are hoping to join a nanny share if possible.

Our little boy will be 11 months old then and we will need care for him on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 am to 5 pm. I am going back to work on the 13th of July, but would like a settling in period for Harry the week before (so from the 5th of July), so he can get used to being away from me.

Our house won't be completely ready by July, so it might not be possible for us to host for a couple of months, but after that, we would be very happy to host/share hosting and we will have a great space to do this (large kitchen/diner/sitting room going out onto a garden) once it's ready.

We would love to meet a fun and active family with a nanny to share, who is also fun, loving, and loves going out and about with children.

Thanks

Helen

Hi Helen

this sounds like exactly the type of nanny share we are looking for. Our daughter will be 1 in July and I'll be going back to work then too. We would be happy to host or share hosting. Only question is the distance. We are based in Loughborough Junction, SE5 so it would require a nanny who was happy to pick up and travel between the two. Not sure if this could work?

Louise

Hi Louise - you and your family sound perfect for a share! Unfortunately, I think the distance might be a bit too far between us, if we needed to get our baby over your way before going to work. If by chance you would be travelling to work heading over to Dulwich, it might work if we could host at our house and then you could arrive after 8 am and meet the nanny at ours?

I've contacted a nanny agency to start searching....so do get in touch if you think what I'm suggesting might work.

    • Where to begin? I'm middle class and am quite happy for them to be used for information about voluntary/not for profit/non commercial events, they should not be used as a means of free advertising for businesses, small or otherwise, they are just not large enough.  Commjnity groups do not have the money to advertise to increase awareness of the services they offer. The examples you have given which you would like to see them used for may reflect your own priorities but the community of East Dulwich reflects a much wider range of interests and requirements. The  notice boards were introduced in 2011 when East Dulwich had already gentrified and their purpose discussed in the EDF thread announcing their arrival.
    • The notice boards are a reasonable size, surely there should be room for both types of leaflets, after all we are meant to be a community? Unless space is extremely limited, it feels a little divisive for a councillor to say private businesses cannot post. All businesses are important for the lifeblood of a community too, aren't they?
    • Hilarious. Yes, they have magic wands and can make the last 14yrs of public asset stripping disappear overnight 🙄
    • Hi if anyone has one pm me cheers
