I have been thinking for a while of starting an informal singing group for mothers. It would be a small group held in my house, and we would sing rounds, lullabies, traditional songs etc unaccompanied. Mothers would be welcome to bring any children that they are looking after along with them, though they would be responsible for them of course. The weekly session would last about an hour, including a tea (and cake?!) break. You wouldn't have to be an experienced singer to join as we would start with simple pieces and slowly work our way up.


If you are interested please comment below - I want to know if there is enough interest before committing to this.

Dear mothers, I'd like to wish you happy (upcoming) Mother's Day and ask some random questions. I made a mobile game aiming to facilitate singing along with a 2~4 yo child. I made it for fun and for my son, but it's getting popular and I'd like to improve it. Could you give me some feedback? Is it able to inspire your children to meow, hum or sing? Isn't is too hard for kids to play on their own? More importantly, please, please suggest me some popular songs. Western Europe, when it comes to baby songs, is an unknown land to me.       I had no idea about the sourcing of the paving stones - where is the info on this? The extension of the paved area seems completely unjustified- plus, there is a cycle lane right thru the middle so there are bound to be some near misses with pedestrians.

      I'm assuming that anybody who has a cat can afford  its food, litter, vets' fees etc. Nobody was saying that two quid is "nothing", but it's cheaper than some brands of cat litter, so was hopefully useful to the OP. Still, hopefully your post made you feel better 👍 🤣 We still don't know why there was a bag of cat litter at the bus stop! Surely it would be rather difficult to take it away unnoticed if the owner of the cat litter was  also at the bus stop? It's not like someone distracted your attention and picked your pocket and you didn't notice till some time later! But what is also confusing me is, if the OP knows where the thief lives, why don't they go and ask for their cat litter back?

      The market is only there for a few hours on Saturdays! Surely all street markets are "a bit tatty"! That seems a strange reason to close a road permanently to traffic!  There is already at least one seat  in North Cross Road (which seems to be quite well used),  apart from those for customers of The Palmerston,  and several of the shops in the road have greenery outside
