Jeremy
Blur, Blondie, Elvis Costello... all peaked on their 2nd or 3rd albums. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9722-sophomores/page/3/#findComment-289863 Share on other sites
Jeremy
Worth a mention... possibly the most disastrous second album of all time - Bad Religion's Into The Unknown. The reaction was so bad, most of the albums were recalled to the warehouse. Brendan
Yeah but they have redeemed themselves tenfold over the years. Anyway, being about 5 when it came out, I?ve never heard it, only read about it. Brendan
Although ironically a quick scan of ebay shows a copy of Into the Unknown going for nearly seventy squids. That?s a lot more than you would pay for any of their other albums. Jeremy
Brendan - very true, the 3rd/4th/5th albums are often considered to be their best. There are bit-torrents around... you can also listen to some of it on YouTube.
