Dear Moz200,

I accept your apology. Now just try to be kind, play nicely and stop using naughty words or I shall not give you any more sausage. It is not you I do not love, just the unkind behaviour.

You are on "one" now, get to "three" and you shall find yourself on the naughty step.

So.....the Gardens. Good, bad, indifferent?

Local amenities worth venturing to nearby?

The shops on East Dulwich Road along from Goose Green for instance? Anything decent? From memory there's a pottery/cafe place, a fish and chippie, a restaurant/cafe/bar place. Any more of note?

Hmm

We used to live in the Gardens and didn't clean our windows for the very reason that the building work above resulted in their being covered in dust. When we moved out the lovely Tilts people took ?20 off our deposit for window cleaning. After a long argument on the phone they finally climbed down and let us have it back. It was a nice place to live granted but, as for "good landlords"...?

The last time we went to a lovely sausage throwing gathering in The Gardens (about 8 years ago) my daughter got chicken pox from a spotty little friend of ours. It was just before the summer holidays and no one would come near us in case their kids got it before they went on their holidays...........happy days.
Hi, Oakhurst Grove is great although rare that you can park outside your own place. lovely & quiet but really close to Northcross rd for the market, thai corner cafe. shops etc. only takes me a 12 min fast walk to the station. Tilts are ok, fixed stuff for me the day after reporting faults. welcome to ED. Best start writing the 6 presentations I have to do!

    • Right or wrong, his public statements are going to make it difficult for him to work with the new US president.  Lessons from the past, don't bite the hand that feeds you. If farmers have to sell land to pay inheritance tax, then we lose food security and at the moment that isn't a good idea.
    • If you've got to raise taxes, then those inheriting multi-million pound estates, landlords, second property owners, the privately educated, and wealthier pensioners (considering how they have been disproportionately insulated for many years), doesn't' seem like the most unreasonable places to do so. We can't just keep loading more and more pain on young, working renters because it's less noisy. The fact that the media are absolutely up in arms, suggests there has actually been some political bravery, and that power, wealth and influence isn't acting as an absolute inoculant to tax rises for once.
    • Lammy was right on both accounts.  That is not incompetence.  Kim Darroch, the then US Ambassador was also correct with an assessment of the last Trump presidency.  I don't want to be the 51st state
    • Hi all,    We are looking for a pregnant person for 1 hours modelling for a campaign shoot that is happening this Saturday (23rd November) in Peckham. We are looking for real people, so no previous modelling experience required.  The shoot is for a new body care brand, and so the model will be required to wear a bodysuit and apply product (all product is clinically proven to be pregnancy safe).  Payment would be made in a goody bag from the brand.  If this is you (or you know anyone who would be good for this), please reach out!
