wheelie bin openers

Hello Neighbours of East Dulwich,

Today at about 4pm, off Melbourne Grove, two guys wearing rucksacks were popping into front gardens and opening wheelie bins, peering quickly inside, leaving some bins open before moving to the next house.

Hope it's nothing or something minor; hope it's not something more sinister like an attempt to scope and indicate which houses are ripe for burglary.

Last week and this week the people from veolia waste UK were inspecting the bins on my road to ensure we were using our bins correctly . I got a sticker on my bin today thanking me for recycling .

Thanks for this - interesting. Were they wearing anything that identified them as such? I hope our 'bin inspectors' were the same, even though were wearing hoodies, but perhaps they were chilly.
