Recommendations for a handyman who can work with furniture fixings and mechanics

I bought this coffee table second hand and unfortunately the moving shelf section no longer sits flush and will not lock in place, which means it is slightly raised on one side. It seems to be a problem with the spring loaded metal mechanic inside and not the wood. Any recommendations for someone who can help fix these sorts of fixings and mechanics?
