katgod
Finding the grills down, reduced entry thing too much at moment. Any suggestions how early or how late I need to travel to get onto the tube without being stuck in the Vauklts and then queuing to get through the ticket barriers? I usually get there about 8.55, tried an earlier train today and it was no different. I have heard it is bad at 8.30. What about 8.15? Any suggestions welcome. Ladygooner
I was there at 8.30 this morning and it was a nightmare. I usually travel much earlier - before 8am is Ok in my experience. Ant
I usually go after the school run, so get there about 9.40. Never any problems by then. standswithfist
i tend to get there by 8am and its quite rammed. the jubilee line is taking those travelling to Canary Wharf that would usually get the DLR from Bank as they are working on the line. Clazza
7.30 or 9.30 seems to be the best at the moment Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9611-london-bridge-tube-in-the-mornings/#findComment-286961 Share on other sites
Keef
I think anytime between 8 - 9 is going to be a nightmare. I was there 8:20 this morning, just got through the gates before they closed them, but then stood in the hall for a good 10 minutes before they'd open the barriers and let anyone down to platform level.I know it's necessary and all that, but it's a fecking nightmare, and seems to be worse just recently for some reason! Jeremy
8am is already very crowded on both the Northern and Jubilee lines. If you want to get on a train without waiting and without being squished, you'll probably have to get there by 7:30. katgod
Thanks all. Wow am going to have to get up super early. Following the lead above re the DLR being closed have found that Bank should be open again by end January, so maybe it will go back to being 'normally bad' by Feb. ruffers
Key time in my experience is about 8.05 - 8.10. Before that = OK. After that = dear oh dear. Loz
This is why I take the bus (and change at E&C if the tube needed). A little longer time, but much lower blood pressure.
