katyc
We're on Fellbrigg Road and don't seem to have any water. Is anyone else having problems? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9458-is-the-water-off/ Share on other sites
edanna
Are you the one with the empty wine bottle? (If you're not, don't be offended.) We have no water either. Have rung Thames Water and they say they will investigate. katyc
I plan on having this bottle empty pretty shortly, but don't think I'm the one you are referring to. Are you on Fellbrigg too? redjam
Also on Fellbrigg with no water! Am hanging on the phone to Thames Water as I type at the moment to add my voice to the complaints (it still said there were no reported problems when I tapped in my postcode on the phone) - have been on hold for ten minutes and counting... zephyr
Went along Northcross road at about Six and I think you may have a burst water main at the junction as there was lots of water flowing Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9458-is-the-water-off/#findComment-283503 Share on other sites
redjam
Got through in the end. They are doing some emergency work on the mains at Ulverscroft Road, will be 'up to' six hours before it comes back on. Yikes - think my wine bottle is going to be empty quite soon too, in an effort to keep warm (does central heating work with no water? bit ignorant as to how this all works!). edanna
I've just had a call back from Thames Water. They are repairing a water main in Ulverscroft Rd and hope to have the supply back within the next couple of hours. Depends how the repair goes.... Claire29
Has anyone reported the burst water main on the top of felbrig road at junction with whateley road? it must have only burst in last couple of hours as was ok when we went out but now flowing out, and we have just returned home to very low water pressure. Claire29
Have just reported to Thames Water,so would suggest to anyone in the near area fill up some pots of water while you can! katyc
Thanks Claire. Fingers crossed they sort it out soon. Otherwise we will be using the rain water from the paddling pool (spot the slovenly gardeners). edanna
Well it's back and you have to admire the people working at night in these temperatures to fix water mains, which can't be easy.
