Hi-

i wondered if anyone goes to st johns church on goose green with a small child and can advise me....i havent been to church since i moved to london around 6 years ago, and want to start again now my daughter is getting old enough to benefit from it...

i just wondered how easy it is on a practical level to bring her-- ie can i bring my buggy/is there anywhere to leave it, is there anywhere to go with here if(when) she gets fidgety etc?

i read on the church's website that there is a sunday school, but she's only just turned 2, perhaps she's too young?

any advise much appreciated!

Within the church there's a children's area at the back with toys and books (although its also full of notices that children should sit quietly!). If you sit in this area, you can nip out the back into the atrium where the toilets are. You leave your buggy there, and there is also a creche, you can volunteer to help in the creche!

    • Apart from being yet another eyesore in our lovely park the track is going to be 5 metres wide, that’s wider than my living room! By the time this is installed it will be too late for people to object. This must be rethought, even more of our park is being given over to GALA. The council didn’t factor in HGV access when they planned the flood alleviation works and now they expect park goers to suffer further. Complaints might help, worth a try but needs to be before the consultation ends on Feb 10th
    • It is absolutely real, I walked past the site, complete with car and trashed wall, at about 2pm this afternoon.
    • Oh ok, I'm even more confused now then. Have you seen the discussion on the dangerous driving thread?
    • Sue - I promise you that was no fake photo, not sure that I'm even capable to that.  I took the picture about 12:15 today.
