I loved screamadelica back in my uni days.

Saw it in Fopp a while back for three quid so rebought a long lost classic and decided it hadn't aged well. Maybe it's a stalwart with students to this day, but as a grown up I thought it really very dull.

For the record I still think dark side of the moon is good, so maybe it's not just that I've changed.

I always loved the Physical Graffiti cover - my parents had the original LP and it fascinated me as a child

I guess there were only including british bands in the list but if it was international I would have included Andy Warhol's Velvet Underground cover

Queen Night at the Opera should been in there.

And XTC's Drums and Wires obviously.

And 10CC's Original Soundtrack.

I'd have laughed my face off if they'd have included Never Mind the Bollocks, and the queen's head sitting there in the corner.

But I got most of 'them.

    • The boards are for services provided by the council and/or non-profit groups or state agencies. Private micro businesses are to be congratulated and supported but they are able to advertise their services elsewhere, now more than ever, as part of their business plan. (This also applies to those who insist on plastering lampposts and bus shelters with their advertising, complete with protruding plastic ties at eye height!)
    • ‘All and sundry’ is just another phrase for ‘the community’ isn’t it?
    • Another strong endorsement for Niko here. Super professional, did a great job fixing a pipe and bottle trap in our bathroom, with no fuss or drama. He's also a thoroughly nice fella, so deserves all the good words being said about him here. 100% recommended. Give him a call 07818 607583.
    • They’re not there to be used by all and sundry for their private businesses (which earn money) — social media, postcards in shop windows, ads on the EDF and free newspapers are the right methods for that. I agree though that these notice boards should be kept in better nick and used as planned, namely to advertise council services etc.
