We've just lost all our water pressure, I guess because of the snow. I've filled all my saucepans and jugs so we have water to drink, but HOW AM I GOING TO FILL THE BIRTHING POOL??!! I'm 40+2 and planning a waterbirth so get your praying caps on (or whatever you wear for praying) and pray I don't go into labour after all please!

Sigh. SE22 - it's a bit like being in the Highlands or something ... only we don't have mountain rescue.

Oh no! What a nightmare!! We still have water and pressure so hopefully yours is just a short term thing.....

I am in the weird state of wanting to go into labour (fed up and would like the baby to be born before my parents go on holiday later this month) but wondering if I did how hard it will be to get to hospital!! I have also given up on going out anywhere given the ice so am under house arrest!!

Eugh, you poor things, must be so worrying being 'due' with all the snow etc. to contend with - thought of getting to hospital, plus icy pavements when you feel so off balance anyway.

Hope your bump's stay put for now until the roads are passable and water is back on etc. I loved my water birth, but worried so much about getting the pool set up in time, it did work out in the end, more by luck than judgement, given that I had a 1.5 hour labour, no idea quite how my fab hubby got it ready in time but he did, wonderful chap.

Keep us all posted.

Oh Emma G

I planned a water birth and I wanted it so much and spend most of my very long labour in it but guess what the baby was born out of it.But it was all so fine.So dont worry .Am sure your midwives will keep a good eye on you(if you are having any) and your loved ones.

Dont be so worried, hope it happens when and how you want it to and if it does not you will still have a good story to tell your little one later.

Huggs and love
