clux
And did anyone else cry or am I just totally ridiculous???? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9433-anyone-else-got-a-child-starting-school-today/ Share on other sites
sillywoman
I cried buckets at the first. We still have a (very embarrasing) photo of it as Sensibleman thought it so funny he felt moved to record the moment! With subsequent babes I just celebrated the freedom with all the other 'well 'ard' Mums of younger siblings. EDmummy
Same as sillywoman. Cried buckets when first child started...subsequent child was waved off with a smile! littleEDfamily
Our sproglet started morning nursery today, and I have to say, I dropped and ran - both of us happy to have someone else to hang out with for a few hours a day. We're weird, I know, but I was so relieved to have the time on my own and she was just so enchanted by the new toys and abundant choice of playmates, she could barely force out a cursory 'goodbye'. When it's proper school they're starting, I can see how it's a different story because of all the associations with your little baby PROPERLY growing up. Maybe even I will shed a tear then - I think it's nice to be emotionally affected by life's milestones! The Nappy Lady
I'm hopeless, cry at everything - first time she did ballet (just too cute), first Christmas, first time they say Mummy....oh and of course the first nativity play which was just a few weeks ago, but oddly didn't cry at all when she started nursery or school. No idea why. Strange. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9433-anyone-else-got-a-child-starting-school-today/#findComment-283157 Share on other sites
