BessemerMum
Hi there,I am a local East Dulwich mum who is considering setting up a new hotdesking and childcare service, five minutes? walk from East Dulwich train station.Hotdesks would be available for rent in a newly installed, fully hooked up and insulated garden office at my home which would offer 2-3 desks (numbers to be confirmed). As I would have my own child at home with me, I would be able to offer childcare for 1-2 children at the times their parents would be working.I would offer ?desk only? or ?desk + childcare? options, and envisage desks could be booked in advance online in 2 hour slots, full day slots, weekly slots or monthly slots.I am not yet a qualified childminder but would undergo all the necessary training and become OFSTED registered etc. I do have two children of my own (the older one is at Bessemer Grange?s nursery) so have good ?hands on? experience of raising children myself. I know what it means to be a working parent and how stressful it can be at times such as when your kids are ill or being able to get back in time to collect your kids to avoid any late pick-up charges ? something that would be avoided in this set-up!As this is an idea in incubation, I would really appreciate any thoughts or feedback that people may have and/or whether it would be something that would be of interest to you personally. I?m very flexible and would really want to create a space for you that is akin to a ?home from home?, where you could focus on work safe in the knowledge your child is being looked after in a home environment very close by, where you could see them whenever you wanted ? or not, as the case may be! I look forward to hearing your feedback. Happy to be contacted by PM as well. Many thanks! :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/94150-hotdesking-and-childcare-business-idea-seeking-feedback/ Share on other sites
