Happy New Year everyone! Just to let you know that... Alhambra/Casa Jarapa is are having our first sale of the new decade with up to 50% off our beautiful handwoven Spanish rugs!

There are selected price-cuts on our other stock as well. Nearly everything is reduced, and the sale runs until 24 January.

Please do come along to 148 Kirkdale, SE26 4BB and bag a bargain, or just visit for some tea and home-made cake! Oh - and one more thing: we are starting with home-made soup at lunchtime. Advance bookings very welcome - please just give us a call on 020-3417 6385 or 07817-781501. We are open Tues-Sunday (10am-6pm apart from Sunday which is 12-4pm).

Happy new year to all, and my best wishes for a peaceful, happy and prosperous new decade.

Lastly, if you are reading this from afar, you could take a look at our website and if you see something you like, please email or phone us to see about a discount. We are at www.casajarapa.net

Hope to see some of you soon!

    • Just heard 250 houses. Substation fault in Lacon Road. Hopefully may be fixed tonight 😭
    • Sorry to hear this - I hope they get the power back on soon for those affected on a night like tonight.
    • Some houses in Ulverscroft Road and I gather Whateley and Fellbrigg have a power cut. Any other roads?
    • Agree and that is due to the echo-chamber nature of social media algorithms. Previously racists and other idiots wouldn't read stuff in traditional media that echoed their warped mindset but now they feel empowered because they think everyone thinks this and can easily reach those that do share the same ideology. Cast your mind back to how Blackberry Messenger was blamed for its role in the London riots back in 2011. We now have that a thousand times worse.
