Santerme
Hot sasperralla in East Lane market, that bought back some childhood memories....There used to be a shop on Walworth Road on the left heading towards Camberwell, after Browing St, but before East St, I think, which I recall being so out of place. It sold, what I guess I thought at the time was upmarket goods and furniture and it had wonderful carved chess sets in the window and what I realise now as pretty naff, an ornament with water running in droplets backlit.I used to stand for what seemed hours looknig in the window, wanting one of the chess sets......Cheers Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9284-a-ride-on-the-tram/#findComment-279969 Share on other sites

MsDulwich
I like this line; Kings Collage Hospital ?were here luv?, the Conductor gets the pushchair and unfolds it in on the path, It reminds me of being on the Routemaster buses when conductors used to take pushchairs out of the compartment by the exit(behind where they stood) and unfold it on the pavement for mothers......it's not as long ago as the trams but a nice memory.
