Selling a pine wardrobe and bedside cabinet that's in good working condition with minor scratches

It's lovely colour very sturdy and serves and still serves us very well

Only giving it away as need decorating in the new place

Also giving away the huge chest of drawers that came with it for free as I had kept it in our garage as we had no space for it in our new place and it has frozen . The drawers are a bit stuck . I am no DIY person but it can be easily fixed says my neighbour who is in the know . However I am giving it away as part of this suite

It's already assembled and a great advantage to many. My new furniture cost me ?100 per piece of furniture to put it up by asda

Also excellent French chique restoration project if keen. Bargain price compared to many on eBay .

Please PM me for pictures as can't get them to fit to size

Thanks

    • In 2022, Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng delivered what was seen as a disastrous budget by the markets and it is claimed they crashed the economy.  Rachel Reeves appears to be going after farmers, Pensioners, pension pots and increasing NI for employers, which whilst not taxing "working people" will see prices going up to cover the costs for already squeezed businesses, all this whilst changing how the government fiscal rules work. The change of administration in the States may impact our exports to them (potential tarrifs) which also may see growth stall slightly.  Will her gamble work or will we as individuals and a nation see stagnation in growth as businesses reduce investment whilst prices go up.  With the farmers protest planned on Tuesday 19th, it is starting to feel like the bad old days of the winter of discontent (1978/79) again.  Whilst investment is needed to help the country grow, are we in danger of not supporting the businesses and people who normally are responsible for growth?  Discuss.
    • Well, Sue, much of this should really only be answered by a fully qualified pool technician. Online courses are available for about fifty quid. I think they check the pH daily, that's the recommendation. London water is naturally 'hard' and generally has a pH above that of a swimming pool, but it's perfectly fine to drink. Introducing an acid will bring the pH down. I believe hydrochloric acid is the fashion.  Still fancy that daily dip? As regards health issues, skin or eye irritation seem to be the main issues of an imbalance in pH levels. The only pool problem I've ever had was my hair going a bit green after an ill-judged home peroxide job as a teenager.
    • Had a problem with a bathroom fan. Really great service from the electrician who came the next day, bothered to check it thoroughly (hoping to save me buying a new one) before declaring it at the end of its life. He then agreed to pick up the new one before fitting it by the end of the week. So refreshing to find a tradesman who is so helpful, polite and economical! I found my fantastic central heating chap on here (Mark Newlove) so wanted to recommend an outstanding electrician too.  Paul Edgley 07802 627967
    • This is just something that is "being considered"! It could be years before it happens, if it ever does! I'm sure there must be many possible options to replace the services presently provided by Crown offices, including introducing more what are now called "sub" post offices (I think) in existing shops and other places. I'm sure there will be many different interest groups (for want of a better term) trying to make sure that groups of people who are likely to be most affected by the closure of Crown offices will have suitable alternative local  provision. Especially given that presumably the existing Crown Offices are based in the areas where there are (or were) the most people to make use of their services, or were at the time they opened.
