Dog licenses were abolished in 1987. Before Britain changed to decimal currency they cost 7 shillings and 6 pence which became 37p. They were scrapped as they were unenforceable and cost more to collect than they raised. -
This was posted last Saturday by Jb. "No the collections were separate, although both funds transferred to his brother, Asif. You could pop in and speak to his brother if you wanted more details but I believe they plan to fund a well in Africa. Thanks if you donated, the brothers were very grateful and touched."
