Dormer Tile Tint

Hi there,

Has anyone ever used tile tint to make new roof tiles match the colour of older roof tiles? We have just had a dormer put in as part of a loft conversion but the tiles around the dormer do not match the roof tiles. Our Builder has said they will 'weather-in' and look like the rest of the roof in a year or two. I'm not convinced having read a few things online - can take up to 20 years for the tiles to weather in. Our existing tiles have weathered so much that they look a dark grey/black (originally they were dark brown). The dormer tiles are dark brown (concrete) and there is a clear difference.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this or the tile tint products?

Thanks,

I try to stick to facts. I have investigated. You (and anyone else) can go into the "search" settings on here and  do a search on an author's name. So you can (I presume) find all my posts, including any which were  replying  to you. I can't imagine that they are in greater numbers than my replies to anyone else, but you can see for yourself. I guess you can probably also find examples of what you call my "usual sarcasm". I wasn't aware that l had a tendency to sarcasm, though I do find a lot of things funny.  There is no need to reply to this unless you actually find evidence in support of what you said. Sorry everybody else. I had to get it off my chest as I was lying awake last night worrying about it 😭
