Bought it from Saisnburys on Denmark hill just under a year ago - doesn't work at the moment may need a new amp or maybe something else wrong with it but Defo fixable. I ended up buying a new one as neede asap. This ones just sitting around. ?20 ono . bought for ?70

  Those who live in the modern world can scan cheques on those little computers they keep in their pocket that also act as a phone. If you can find a bank many will have devices to take money out and also scan cheques. That said I haven't cashed one for years or written one even longer. As far as I know the only use of cheques now is buying the Countryfile Calendar.

  Since the closure of HSBC bank in ED and Peckham, any cheques we receive (about 5=10 a year) go through LL Post Office. Agree at times long waits. Generally for PO type business - I go to Forest Hill. understand that you cannot process Lloyds Bank cheques through LLane.
