sillywoman
leading on from the Christmas parade thread, I noticed a few people commenting that they don't get the SE22 magazine. We don't either. I wonder which roads do then (if any!)? Do you get it delivered in your road? We're opposite ED hospital by the way. HonaloochieB
Got it for a good while. Then didn't. Got it for a short while and currently don't.I don't miss it in the least, the only way it could be made better would be if it was printed on non-glossy absorbent paper, it might then be put to some good use. ClareC
I get it on Goodrich Road, I do find it useful and always read through it when it arrives. It is sometimes delivered late so some of the info can be out of date. sillywoman
Seems that it's only going out to a very small area of SE22 then? I wonder if they know this? I love those freebie magazines and would love to get one. Ah well, will have to make do with the lovely 'Living South' as my only loo reading.:'( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9119-se22-magazine-who-in-se22-actually-gets-it/#findComment-276269 Share on other sites
Sanne Panne
Always received it, on Barry Road.Administrator, is there a way to set up simple polls (e.g. with up to 6 radio buttons and a counter) within this forum? Would be useful for a topic like this. espelli
I'm on Barry Road too and haven't always received it. We got it for a while and then didn't but got one recently. It seems very patchy, I quite like getting it but find out more about local things on here really. Festival Fair
SE22 is distributed to 5,000 homes and businesses in the area, so unfortunately not everyone gets a copy. It goes out at the beginning of the month, so you have to be quick to pick up a copy in the various shops and bars. I try to restock the library a couple of times within the month. For those who don't receive but would like to flick through, you can read online at www.semagazines.co.uk If anyone would like to check whether there road should get it, please do e-mail me at [email protected]. Distribution is carried out by a reliable company but it is not always 100% perfect. Therefore I very much appreciate feedback from those who regularly receive but have had any problems. The roads mentioned above (Melford, The Gardens, Altima Court, Upland, Lordship Lane Estate, East Dulwich Grove) unfortunately are not on the distribution map.It is a shame that some people feel the need to make accusations about me taking advertising but not delivering the magazine. There is no way I could still be in business after five years if I did that. So if anyone is unsure about whether they should get it or not, please do not hesitate to contact me, the owner of the business! KalamityKel
Just out of curiousty Festival Fair... how does one decide on the distribution map? I mean is it based on numbers of residence, demographic, ease of access etc? Is there any market research, so to speak, in to the interest of the publication?Really, I am interested in finding out :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9119-se22-magazine-who-in-se22-actually-gets-it/#findComment-277456 Share on other sites
TonyQuinn
I like SE22, my Mrs certainly does....I have one quibble though. Why does Surma still have a photograph in his front window claiming to be Lordship Lane curry house of the year. That presentation must have been made three years ago. Time for a new vote SE22. Festival Fair
The distribution started out from Crystal Palace Road (where I live) and includes roads that are linked together. Then it makes sense from a distribution angle to keep roads together rather than dotted around the area.Thank you TonyQuinn for your kinds words. Re Surma, I guess they are proud of being voted the best Indian by the Forum, even if it was a while back. I guess it is their right to keep the photo (albeit a very bad one of me!) in their window as long as they like. Perhaps if the Forum does a new vote, it might get changed.
