Determined to get to grips with your garden this year - prune those shrubs - have colour all year round - grow enough flowers so you have enough to cut and bring inside?

Sign up for a beginners gardening course held in a lovely East Dulwich garden. Saturday morning sessions beginning in March. Groups are small - max of 6 - giving you the opportunity to learn in an informal, relaxed setting. Learn how to make the best of the plants you have and which ones to buy to give you long lasting colour and form; how to look after and feed your soil; how to make your own compost; what to grow to encourage wildlife into your garden; which vegetables are easiest to grow and give the tastiest crop.

Cost includes all materials, free seeds, small plants, cuttings and tea and homemade cake. It's a great way to meet other local gardeners. Monthly starting March through to September, taking you right through your first growing season. Call Jane on 07952 898025 or email [email protected] for more info. www.janesvegschool.co.uk

Jane's beginner course is great, my husband and I went last year and learnt a lot, enjoyed Jane's garden (and her homemade cakes!!) and got some ideas for how to work on ours. We were able to ask lots of questions, get some cuttings and think of what we would like to see blossom in the garden. One of the amazing things was seeing Jane's gardens in different seasons.

    • I've just looked at https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700143.json. Current "signature_count" entries: "open" 2178055 (ie all)  [at line 12] followed by alphabetically ordered lists, the whole country ones first, including "United Kingdom" 2162127 ; then constituencies.
    • I truly cannot recommend Jason enough, he took so much time and care with the decorating of my bathroom, even suggesting ways in which I could save money. Jason took extra time to come back and help fit a mirror and do touch ups on what I thought was a perfect job. He is also an incredibly nice guy and always keeps you up to date on progress and when he'll be working. I will definitely be saving his number for future works. His number is 07517 615952.
    • The 2 ways I checked (and I'm open to correction on this - I could be wrong) 1 - the  breakdown by county  https://petitionmap.unboxedconsulting.com/?petition=700143 doesn't appear to match the headline number in any close way   2 = The petition data link https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700143.json seems to have a suspiciously high number of non UK entries   (although this ABOUT section may be relevant as well The data shows the number of people who have signed the petition by country as well as in the constituency of each Member of Parliament. This data is available for all petitions on the site. It is not a list of people who have signed the petition. The only name that is shared on the site is that of the petition creator.)     can someone else try because I'm done with this guy
    • I had to look it up but 4.1 million people signed a petition for second brexit referendum if there was a narrow margin.  The data is from 2017 so there may be bigger petitions since.   https://www.itv.com/news/2017-01-31/petitions-what-are-the-10-most-signed-and-what-have-they-achieved
