Advice sought for a large rug that is laid onto of a carpet and keeps wrinkling

Hi,

I have recently moved and my large rug seems to be "wrinkling" and walking. It is ontop of a fitted carpet. Before I end up rolling it up for good, does anyone have any advice or solutions please?

Have bought and tried anti slip but doesn't seem to be doing the trick and also tape as well around the edges.

A carpet shop might be able to advise you?

Do you need to be able to move the rug off the carpet? If not, you could try velcro?!

You can get mats that go under rugs I think they are for rugs on slippery floors but may also work on carpet

We bought our rug from john Lewis and they offered us one there

Best I've encountered, but not cheap (though the cheap options have all been failures, so not such good value after all) and effective on carpet or flooring is a brand called Foxi - see link for South London stockists:

I got some rug grip stuff from John Lewis. It was a bit pricey but totally sorted out the same problem.
