The Queen not keen on Dulwich move

Watched "the Queen" tonight dealing with the issue of the showdown between the Queen and Thatcher over South Africa in the 1980s.

After their run in had been smoothed over they met at Balmoral and whilst making small talk Denis Thatcher mentioned to the Queen that they had bought a new house in Dulwich.

To which the Queen replied "That's a place near Peckham isn't it."

Denis and Maggie frowned.....

I didn't see it but I can imagine she was just winding the Thatchers up. Dulwich Park was apparently one of Queen Victoria's favourites. I think I'm correct in saying that one of the gates on the Dulwich Common side was named after her.

Queen Mary not Victoria liked the park and has a gate named after her. I remember the year TBW turned on the Village Christmas lights....*still shuddering*...
