So the police basically admitted it a crime but not a crime worth them looking into, even though a guilty culprit could be found fairly easily via CCTV ?? bizarre.

Still, seeing as they are focusing so much on violent crimes I feel re-assured I can walk the streets completely safely now ... yes, sarcasm.

Interesting point. I'm supposed to have a mobile insured by my bank due to the type of account I have. Looking at the terms and conditions it seems I would have to report it to the police if I lost it. Is that the case with all insurance policies? It would seem like a huge waste of police timefor them to have to take down my details over a bloody phone.

I've claimed for the loss of my mobile before, you just need to call the police and run through some routine questions to get a crime reference. The insurance company will need the crime reference to process your claim. You can claim on your home insurance as long as you have personal possessions cover. As for cover with your bank account, I have this as well, I've got a feeling that you need to register the phone with them, but I can't be too sure about that.

I hope that helps...

    • That's the Goose website, I assume.  Never mind, there are other US-based  sites available.  I've found having avoidance of a https://invisioncommunity.com/legal/privacy/#two product in my One More Thing set can be quite beneficial too. :-)

    • Not sure about changing hands but the Peckham Rye one is open and hasn’t had any random closures. Our child is very happy there but there was a resolved Ofsted complaint half way through last year.  Things don’t look good for the Devon nursery owned by the same company - looks like loads of issues with Ofsted which can be seen in its latest report.
