Buildteam - negative reviews thread removals

I have not used BuildTeam, but I would like to know why negative reviews are removed? Surely that's the point of having a forum such as this? How else do people know which companies to avoid?

As an East Dulwich resident that used Build Team and had a less than satisfactory experience with them I find it concerning that the negative reviews are being removed.

The company seemed happy to use the forum for exposure in the past:

Admin's note on another thread earlier this week suggested there was a threat of legal action from Buildteam due to the negative reviews and whether they were genuine or not. This is a privately run forum that relies on donations to cover running costs so it's a serious thing to run the risk of defending an action, even if you're in the right. What Admin has done in other cases is remove all references to the company in question- positive and negative. Company doesn't have the negative reviews up, but can't use the forum to advertise either. Seems like that might be appropriate here.

And threads like this do stay up, so residents can form their own views about whether they want to use a company that seems unwilling to engage with critical feedback on their work - would certainly put me off.

To my mind, the fact that Admin (all hail) removes posts about Buildteam speaks volumes about the company.
