By the way Bodsier, you can see the comment I left on that thread and draw your own conclusions to how you perceived me to be .

Asking if I'm comfortable there is a very weird term to use ... Comfortable as in what ? Bashing the OP? As I didn't partake in that . As in drawing attention to the man's colour etc? As I didn't partake in that either .

So no idea what you mean .

The whole point on the man allegedly hitting a kid thread was that because in the OP view the man was black african with a london accent but not wearing any odd clothing totally tells you that the OP thinks that black africans mistreat their kids abusively on a regular basis due to cultural differences. No more no less. Otherwise if a description was needed a black man in a red top with blue jeans would have sufficed.

For goodness sake Grok, give it a rest. Nothing the OP said gave any impression of the sort. Most of us can tell from an accent if a black person is a first generation migrant or not. Some of us can even tell the difference in accents between different African countries. It's a perfectly valid observation to make, despite your attempts to accuse the OP of something other than the face value reason for posting.

Would you say the same about someone referencing a white person with an Irish or Scottish accent? I suggest it's you who has a problem there, not the OP.

'funny clothes'???? There's an insult if ever there was one.

Most people would reference anyone with any accent and most people who live in London have plenty of exposure to accents from the various countries of Africa. But as your post shows, you are more intent on trouble making than diplaying any intelligence.

Go and look a pictures of Ethiopians compared to Nigerians for example. You'll see a physical difference, a difference that black people themselves see, because unlike some white people, they don't see everyone with a different skin colour as all looking the same. They are the same differnces that we acknowledge accross europe btw. Africa is a huge continent that borders the middle east and anthropologically is an area of great difference - if only you open your eyes and look properly. Whilst the OP may not have had the knowledge to pinpoint which African accent she heard, it is perfectly ok to acknowledge an accent, in the same was as we would acknowledge an eastern European or Asian etc accent.

In a final effort to get you to see sense Grok, if you were played audio files of just voices speaking English, you would pretty easily to be able to tell Oriental from Asian from Indian from African from European. Most people could do that. Some people would be able to tell a Chinese accent from a Japanese one, or a Canadian from an American, or a Russian from a German. Some might even be able to do better and pinpoint differences between local accents, like Cockney compared to Brummie and the global equivalents. Being able to do that of course requires local exposure and knowledge. Accent is a defining characteristic that helps identification, that's all. So your whole argument that the OP was somehow wrong to reference that is nonsense, as many have pointed out, and the fact that people have been off the forum over Christmas and come back to find you still banging on about it says something not very rational about you. Move on dude.

If you bothered to actually read the thread and make meaningful comments rather than try to stir things up you will find that the person in question was described as having a London accent so stop your strop, DJKQ?

Your google geography lesson perfectly illustrates my point, what does an 'African' look like?

Lay off the sherry in the tenants hall. Dude - how very dare you!

    • The top front tooth has popped out.  Attempted to fix myself with repair kit bought from Boots, unfortunately it didn’t last long.  Tooth has popped out again.  Unable to get to dentist as housebound but family member can drop off.  I tried dental practice I found online, which is near Goose Green, but the number is disconnected.   The new dental practice in FH (where Barclays used to be) said it’s not something they do.  Seen a mobile dental practice where a technician comes to your home and does the repair but I’m worried about the cost. Any suggestions please? Thank you
    • So its OK for Starmer to earn £74K/annum by renting out a property, cat calling the kettle black....... Their gravy train trundles on. When the Southport story that involves Starmer finally comes out, he's going to be gone, plus that and the local elections in May 2025 when Liebour will get a drumming. Even his own MP's have had enough of the mess they've made of things in the first three months of being in power. They had fourteen years to plan for this, what a mess they've created so quickly, couldn't plan there way out of a paper bag.   Suggest you do the sums, the minimum wage won't  be so minimum when it is introduced, that and the increase in employers national insurance contributions is why so many employers are talking about reducing their cohort of employees and closing shops and businesses.  Businesses don't run at a loss and when they do they close, its the only option for them, you can only absorb a loss for so long before brining the shutters down and closing the doors. Some people are so blinkered they think the sun shines out of the three stooges, you need to wake up soon. Because wait till there are food shortages, no bread or fresh vegetables, nor meat in the shops, bare shelves in the supermarkets because the farmers will make it happen, plus prices spiralling out of control as a result of a supply and demand market. Every ones going to get on the gravy train and put their prices up, It happened before during lockdown, nothing to stop it happening again. You don't shoot the hand that feeds you. Then you'll see people getting angry and an uprising start to happen.  Hungry people become angry people very quickly.
    • Eh? Straight ahead of what?  If you turn left at Goose Green, as you also posted above, you end up at the library. Then the Grove. Then, unless you turn right at the South Circular, you end up at Forest Hill!
    • yes I’ve spotted this too — it’s near me and I’m very intrigued to see what it’ll be 👀👀👀👀
