Hi i am considering Alleyn school for my twins (boy & girl) and would like to hear any coments from existing parents. We are considering starting them at 4+. I am not english and like very much the idea of them being in the same school until they re 18 as it is similar to what i had.

many thanks

They have 16 places at 4+ - 8 boys and 8 girls. It is therefore on the basis of places against numbr of applications just about the most difficult school to get into at 4+. Otherwise you try again at 7+ or at 11. I think it is much easier to get in at 11. They may also sometimes get occasional places, but that is less likely with twins?

If you are looking for (private) alternatives, Herne Hill School is lovely, although they only take them until 7. Otherwise the mixed options are limited - Rosemead and Oakfields?

    • Sorry, posted as I thought it may be a Burmese cat I know who lives in that area, but I just checked with the owner and that cat is safely at home. Hope this one gets home safely ❤️
    • I will second Victoria. Usually fairly empty during the day. I don't think Petittou has Wi-Fi, possibly to avoid people with laptops hogging tables.
    • Why do you say "that hasn't and won't happen"? - It has not happened and I do not believe it will. Why do you not ask for a key, if you would "love this task"?  I have requested a key but have not had any reply to my email. Who would you suggest I ask? She still works locally. If you don't know her, I can ask her how you can get a key - Please do. Thanks. There is no reason why the noticeboard should only contain councillors' details (although surely it is important that those are publicised locally?) Why do you say it will contain nothing more? Because it does not contain anything more - see noticeboard (has been there quite a few months now!). Do you know why the notice board has been removed from outside ED station? No sadly I don't - poss during pavement works?
