Goodliz
Can anyone recommend somewhere to go for a meal in the afternoon near Somerset House (North side of Waterloo Bridge)please? My sister is coming over with her daughter and niece for ice skating and then we will go for some food nearby. The kids are aged:nearly 35611ish.Plus 4 adults. I was thinking about Carluccio's in Covent Garden as I think they are fairly child friendly with crayons and stuff. If anyone can think of anywhere else a short stroll from Somerset House please let me know. Many thanks. ClareC
There is a Pizza Express and Zizzi on the Strand. Just walk from Somerset House towards Trafalger Square, Zizzi on the left side of the Strand, PE on the right opposite Charing Cross Station, both are child friendly. little h
Hellowe went to Sophies steak house in Covent Garden recently - someone suggested it to us. It was very child friendly and they were great with our then 9 month old. We all sat in a circular booth which had mirrors around the top of the seating - a big hit with our son. you don't have to have steak they also do soup and sandwiches etc and have a kids menu. http://www.sophiessteakhouse.co.uk/ H Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8729-child-friendly-restaurant-needed-near-somerset-house/#findComment-266139 Share on other sites
BeccaL
I'd second sophie's steak house - not that cheap but also not too busy when we've been and v child friendly. Avoid giraffe unless you're going outside usual lunchtimes as the queues are terrible! Kids menu sausage, cod goujons, chicken with a choice of mash or fries followed by an ice cream. mumra
Smollensky's is very child friendly and right by there on the strand. Always gives pencils and gift bags and has entertainers on sundays.Pays to book but is never hugely busy and actually prices are comparable to pizza express.
