The Rose Pub (old forest hill tavern)

Does anyone know what's happened to the Rose Pub on Forest Hill road? I saw it's all gutted out and today they're painting it black, but I'll not sure if it's changed hands or anything...

there's another thread on this, been taken over by the same people who run great exhibition and the old nuns head. should be good has been waste of a good pub for too long

Thanks! I couldn't find a thread and was looking for one. I'm glad that's happening, I was boycotting The Rose after the bartender stole 10 pounds off my friend and threw another one's drink away. Will be good to go back, was a real shame because of the proximity.

I think they reckon another 6 weeks refurb or so? Such a shame - be fab if it had been in time for Xmas! Big fan of the GE but The Rose is/was our local so it'll be great if it takes off. Fingers crossed for a speedy refurb!
