lizzie
Can anyone recommend a good (but cheap) restaurant near Euston station or a pub/bar that does good food? I'm meeting a friend there tomorrow evening and neither of us know the area. So any ideas please!!! TheMonkeyboy
Exit Euston near the higher numbered platforms and go onto Drummond street. A few good curry houses thereMB Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8669-eating-near-euston/#findComment-264565 Share on other sites
mockney piers
Took the words out of my mouth monkeyboy. Yelp is a pretty good resource for finding stuff. Bellenden Belle
An alternative place to eat is the Wellcome Centre - three minutes from Euston.http://www.wellcomecollection.org/eatandshop/index.htmIt's a fabulous space, is licensed and is great if you're looking for a light supper followed by devilishly good cake option. Worth looking at the exhibitions if you get a chance too. Keef
Probably not what you're after, but opposite Mornington Crescent Tube, there is a great little sandwich shop. Their chicken curry with mango chutney sandwiches are awesome! GregI
+1 for charlie charlie's suggestion. Was recently at Diwana and it's consistently good. Delicious (absolutely huge) dosa's - no fuss, excellent value for money.** Oh too late! ** Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8669-eating-near-euston/#findComment-264977 Share on other sites
flapjackdavey
I second Drummond Street .... The Ravi Shankar Dosa restaurant is excellent . Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8669-eating-near-euston/#findComment-265466 Share on other sites
Sue
Diwana Bhel Puri (I think that's what it's called) and Ravi Shankar are run by the same people, so both excellent cheap South Indian Food.Best things are the bhel puri starter and the almond kulfi ice cream dessert, best kulfi in London and home made, not delivered from some central kulfi production factory. But the dhosas are pretty good too :)-D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8669-eating-near-euston/#findComment-265960 Share on other sites
