Racks of Lamb in Sainsburys

A strange thing, but I was in Sainsburys on Saturday, avoiding the rain, and thought I would get a rack of lamb for supper... and the butcher on duty looked at me and said that they had them, but Sainsburys' policy is to cut off the ribs...now not being in the mood to walk to William Rose I bought my boneless racks from Sainsburys but find it a most peculiar practice

Is it just me or are supermarkets making it harder and harder to recognise what we are eating these days ?

Waitrose/Ocado do proper racks of lamb, but they are nowhere near as tender or flavoursome as those sold by Mr Sparkes...

as to Why Mr Dave at Sainsburys may be able to shed some light on it, but they seem to come pre cut to the store
