EDmummy
Who was it that decided the pavements in Crystal Palace Road and in Dulwich Village needed replacing over one of the most walked pavements in the area?! The pavements are a disgrace pretty much all around here. EDmummy
My attempt at agreeing with bob that LL needs new pavements above the other locations that have recently had their pavements replaced. Do you live around here, ruffers? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8625-state-of-pavements/#findComment-263410 Share on other sites
ruffers
30 seconds walk from Liquorish so I guess I'm qualified to comment?I misunderstood your post as I read it literally ie they'd paved over a busy bit of pavement, ie fixed it, which on the surface would have surely been a good thing.I get your meaning now. HonaloochieB
When pavements are shonky, let's all get out our Carlos Cateneda books.Don Juan's 'gait of power' will stand us all in good stead. No Carlos Casteneda? Cut along to Chener Books and John will get them ordered up for you. bob
Cant understand why they seem to take up good level pavement and put down small littel uneven brikets????Bob S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8625-state-of-pavements/#findComment-263589 Share on other sites
SteveT
small littel uneven brikets Which are known as paving blocks, can be driven over by parking vans etc, and they sink rather than crack like the paving slabs would. bob
Sorry Steve T for not knowing the correct term for the "paving blocks" but they are uneven in lots of places and dangerous for any one who is sight impaired or has mobility issue.Bob S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8625-state-of-pavements/#findComment-263610 Share on other sites

achub
Why not apply for funding from the Council? They've just opened applications for Cleaner Green Safer funding:Every year, Southwark?s community councils award funding to ideas put forward by local people to improve their local environment. Any idea that brings a permanent physical improvement to the environment will be considered ? that is, any idea that makes your area Cleaner Greener or Safer! For example, you could ask for: improvements to parks or community gardens, more tree planting and wildlife areas, children?s playgrounds or better lighting and fencing. Apply online here.
