Just read up on what is or rather isn't featured in this latest evolution and will not be purchasing a copy until the price for the PC version drops significantly. Think I'll be taking a look at Dragon Age instead and hopefully Mass Effect 2 in the New Year.

Very cryptic post sox, whats the requisite feature that's missing, I'm curious.

Have finished main campaign andstill have no idea whatsoever what it was all about.

Ratty, use your claymores by the ladders and entry hatches so you can concentrate on the approaching forces.

Nice tip MP. Hoping to get some fire time tonight!

I read the campaign story on wikipedia so I sort of understadn it. HAd a bit of online last night too and it really rocked. Cannot wait to learn the maps!

Sean - I noticed that too - virtually all my friends were on it!

Had to load a couple of updates and then was asked if I wanted to skip a scene which I might find disturbing. I know there's one part which has had complaints but I have no idea what it is and I am looking forward to finding out. (Please don't tell me!). What I wanted to know was is the option a new thing added after release or was it there from release?

Hi MP, it's the 9v9 limitation, no private servers, no modding. Have they nerfed the ability for clans to meet up and arrange events?

Owing to the crapiness of my connection and reflexes I never had much joy with competitive multiplayer, always got fragged repeatedly which wasn't fun. If you can't arrange matches between players of a similar ability then it all gets very tiresome.

All fair points sox. I actually dint really have a problem with the numbers limitations as the levels so well designed and the game types so nicely balanced that actually it doesn't make much of a difference to me.

Plus the dying thing was a put off when I embarked on COD multiplayer in WaW, then I realised that noone else really cares and I just ploughed through the dying alot stage until I started dying less then got to the point where I was holding my own.

I find it's less about reaction and much more about knowing the level inside out and anticipaing where people will be.

The touches like the uav's air support, artillery (now predator drones) and now you get bonuses if you're dying alot to help those finding heir feet.

But it is much less tactical than say the battlefield games. As I said, give ARMA 2 a go (I'm guessing you're talking PC, judging by talk of modding). It's endlessly customizable, huge and you can define your own scenarios to the nth degree.

I definitely prefer the PC for these types of games, Battlefield, Flashpoint, etc, and personally nothing beats a mouse/keyboard combo, and I fell that generally the console versions are a cut down edition of the PC versions but lack of a decent gaming rig or the space to set it up means I'll just have to stick to the Xbox for now, which is not a bad second.

I do miss the multiplayer flexibility though, it is nice to brows servers and stick to ones with the same group of people and/or avoid servers full of noddys.

Got an email from Amazon saying they are refunding me ?11 due to pre order price promise I guess because Sainsburys selling it so cheap. Amazon are great at what they do, as it did peeve me a bit when I paid ?38 and could have got it for ?26. That said my local Sainsburys in Chislehurst had sold out and still don't have any.

    • Surprised at how many people take the 'oooh it's great it got approved, something is better than nothing' view. This is exactly Southwark council's approach, pandering to greedy developers for the absolute bare minimum of social and affordable housing. It's exactly why, under their leadership, only a fraction of social and affordable housing has been built in the borough - weirdly Mccash chose to highlight their own failures in his 'near unprecedented' (yet unbiased) submission. All the objectors i have met support redevelopment, to benefit those in need of homes and the community - not change it forever. The council could and should be bolder, demand twice the social and affordable housing in these schemes, and not concede to 8 storeys of unneeded student bedsits. If it is a question of viability, publically disclose the business plan to prove how impossible it might be to turn a profit. Once the thing is built these sites can never be used for social or affordable housing. The council blows every opportunity, every time. Its pathetic. Developers admitted the scale was, in this instance, not required for viability. The student movements data seemed completely made up. The claim that 'students are taking up private rentals' was backed up with no data. There is empty student housing on denmark hill, needs to be fixed up but it's there already built. The council allows developers years to build cosy relationships with planners such that the final decision is a formality - substantiated objections are dismissed with wooly words and BS. Key meetings and consultations are scheduled deliberately to garner minimal engagement or objection. Local councillors, who we fund, ignore their constituents concerns. Those councillors that dare waiver in the predetermination are slapped down. Not very democratic. They've removed management and accountability by having no nomination agreement with any of the 'many london universities needing accommodation' - these direct lets MAKE MORE MONEY. A privately run firm will supposedly ensure everyone that those living there is actually a student and adheres to any conduct guidelines. There's no separation to residents - especially to ones on their own development. Could go on... We'll see how many of the 53 social/affordable units that we're all so happy to have approved actually get built.
    • I am looking for 1 unit which is working for £50 cash. Thank you
