geneverve
What's the best way to get to Blackheath tonight via public transport? As always TFL is coming up with some odd suggestions. I'm Peckham Rye side of ED Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8540-getting-to-blackheath-fireworks/ Share on other sites

espelli
There is an occasional train that goes from Nunhead to Blackheath, but I don't know what times they go. You may also need to come back a different way, I have never managed to do that journey in both directions! GregI
The simplest way would be to catch a train from Peckham Rye/Nunhead to Blackheath (half-hourly service). However the council are recommending people avoid using Blackheath station for reasons of overcrowding so be prepared if you do. Getting on a train coming home might take a while too although Southeastern have put on a few extra services.Alternatively you could catch a bus to either Deptford Bridge, Lewisham or Greenwich (all from Peckham bus station or 484 will take you to Lewisham from Peckham Rye Common) and walk from any of those.Services to Blackheath stationPeckham Rye: departing 14 and 44 mins past the hourNunhead: 16 and 46 mins past the hourBlackheath: arriving at 25 and 55 mins past the hour Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8540-getting-to-blackheath-fireworks/#findComment-260779 Share on other sites
