When I first read this thread I thought it might be a request from Southwark Council. But having read it through again I didn't think somehow the council would use such legally challenging terminology as 'stealing'.

Like other parents facing the worrying and completely nerve-jangling prospect of securing a school place, I too abhor people who use underhand tactics to gain places for their children. Personally, however, I think it is the full responsibility of Southwark Council to 'vet' who is / isn't playing the system fairly (from the outset of an application), rather than the role of an anonymous vigilante calling for action on the EDF.

It's probably just me, but I do find the incognito / cloak and dagger nature of this thread (setting up the handle 'edadmissions' - no history) just a little sinister.

Honestly, has our desperation to getting our children into local schools really stooped to such a low level as this thread? If so, how very sad it has all come to this.

    • My food bin….still not collected….
    • A huge thank you to Julian Richards for fitting our custom wardrobes in two of our bedrooms, we are so happy with the results, they really feel a 'part of the room', super integrated with the space. Julian was a joy to work with, extremely helpful talking through the various options to help make decisions around the look and feel of the wardrobes vs the storage space, and approaches the build in a very methodically and logical manner, ensuring all our needs are taken into account to deliver a space that works for us and our lives. An excellent carpenter and a pleasure to have in the house. I highly recommend working with Julian!
    • Yes - and this is a good thing because meeting housing targets is a good thing. If Labour or any other party had managed to do it consistently over the last decade perhaps we wouldn't be in a housing crisis. I'm not sure if "don't build more housing because it's only rich foreigners that will end up living there" is official Lib Dem policy or not.
