How much should I pay my childminder?

Hello there -

I am going to have a family member look after my 9 month old and I'm not sure how much I should offer to pay her? She'll be taking care of her for 3 days per week.

Also, should I pay her for the 5 weeks of holiday I take every year when she won't be looking after my daughter?

Any other advise on potential things to cover in my agreement with her will be helpful.

Try the National Childminders Association. THeir website has lots of model agreements. Hope it all works out.

Childminders earn about ?5 per hour and they take care of their own tax and NI. I pay mine 4 weeks holiday.
