PlayfieldCresRes
Please see the attached photos. No collar on dog.Lovely little dog found shivering where Playfield Crescent meets Lytcott Grove. Fur matted, half frozen, looks like it had been out all night.I **think** I've seen the dog walking with an elderly owner on Playfield Crescent before hence why I'm posting on here rather than just contacting Southwark (on 0800 952 4444) to ask that the dog be collected. Would rather give back to owner directly if possible.Happy to hold on to the dog this evening but unfortunately it will need to go to Southwark tomorrow. (Will call the council now to let them know I have the dog and that I'm posting here to see if there is any response before they collect)If you think you recognise the dog or know the owner please DM me so that we can reunite.Any advice gratefully received!Cheers. first mate
Thanks for taking the dog in. Is there any way you could get it to the Neighbourhood Vet, opposite Peckham Rye (end of Barry Road) to scan and see if the little dog is microchipped. It looks like a Yorkshire Terrier. Is it a boy or a girl? I wonder if any people on the street recognise it?Will you please let us know what happens. Southwark tend to take dogs right out to a place in Gatwick and it would be sad if the little mite had to go through all that.A further option, if you think the dog lives locally is when it has recovered a little put a lead on and go outside and see if it will lead you back to its home. I have done this with a dog before and it worked. It is possible the owner, if elderly, is unwell.
