Landells Road history

Just found some old deeds for Landells Road. It appears the property was sold by the Acock brothers in 1880 for between ?77 and ?90. Another document shows a gentleman bought it in 1937 for ?205.

Anyone know if the Acocks built the whole of upper Landells?

That's interesting Jim, I've always thought the whole of Landells road was developed at the same time, around 1900, didn't realise some of the buildings are older. Can't answer your Acocks question.

If anyone gets any more clues as to the history of Landells road I'd be interested, I've been trying to find out the history of our house a bit more, it's on the 1894 OS map and in the 1901 census not the 1891 so probably built early 1890's. Sorry no info on Acocks.
