Just a thought - there used to be several trees and shrubs in the car park at Sainsbury's before the revamp and when I was there the other day (yes I know, should be pottering up and down LL's local shops with my hessian bag slung on the HUGE buggy) I noticed that they have all gone and there looks to be absolutely no provision for replacing them or putting in any planting at all. It's not on really. What can we do, anyone had a close look at the plans?

A serious point, self-mockery, witty off-topic replies, acceptance off same off-topic-replies, cheekiness and a sarcastic response?????

Well, this thread won't go down well with SOME people!

I guess it's possible the re-development hasn't finished and the greenery had to go while more robust changes were made, so perhaps they will be back soon?

Hmm me thinks something is afoot as all the greenery/shrubbery by Lidl in Peckham has been replaced with...paving slabs.

Everyone knows that this is not good, apparently this surface reflects more sun and heat back into the atmos which ain't good for the planet's atmos...or summat like that.

    • Stewart Lee, who I have seen numerous times, played a gig 18 months ago in Peckham, turning up late and doing around 12 mins of an expected headliner slot.  He has no social media presence and is uncontactable.  I complained to the ticket agents and promoters to no avail.  Obviously I wouldn't boycott a paper due to this incident. With hard copy print declining more liberal media need support irrespective of how easy it is to pick holes.  The decline of regional and local papers has compounded the issue of so many drawing their information from the right wing/populist press, and unverified reports on social media.
