There was a lovely thread a few years back about a forumite who suffered insomnia. She so eloquently and bravely put her story out there. She had a blog too. I cant for the life of me remember her forumname and we never met. Still, i think about her from time time, wonder how she got on.

Does anyone remember the thread? Or link to her blog?

Hi

Thanks so much midivydale for thinking of me and thanks pickle for letting me know about this thread

Insomnia is still unfortunately very much part of my life but I've learnt to live with it rather than trying desperately to cure it.

I take an AD whose side affect is sleep and this helps me sleep about 4 hrs a night and then I have sleeping pills that I take for 2 nights in a row about once a month when i'm at rock bottom to boost me up again.

Both the kids are now at school which definitely makes life easier for me coping wise. I struggle with their long holidays but it's fine.

Thanks again for thinking of me

xxx

    • Hey everyone, I’m currently on the hunt for a second-hand car and thought I’d reach out to the forum for some advice. I’m particularly looking for a U-LEZ compliant automatic hatchback, so if anyone is selling or knows of a good deal, I’d love to hear about it! Also, if you have any general tips on buying a second-hand car — things to watch out for, red flags, or recommendations on trustworthy dealerships — I’m all ears! Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!
    • I had the covid vaccination at TJ a couple of weeks ago or so and checking the card they gave me it says Spikevax which is Moderna.  Edit: just seen you had your jab in the pharmacy whereas I had mine in the first floor premises arranged by ECPS. I have heard/read that all vaccinations are Moderna this time round.
    • I've just checked on my NHS app, it shows that I've had the vaccine but doesn't record which it was. But then, it didn't last autumn and I was then given the record of what I'd had. Presumably this is a cost saving measure. I never get details of what flu vaccine I get or who made it.
    • Last year Krystals were not using Pfizer, if you wanted it that had to be paid for, think it was £100.  they should have given you some documentation saying which brand it was.
