I came home at 11pm tonight to discover a man attempting to climb through my living room window that he had just smashed. I shouted at him to get out (his head was through the window) and he slurred i'm sorry and I shouted at him again to get out. Anyway I shall try and cut a long story short I rang 999 and the police turned up within a few minutes and caught him - although he was incredibly drunk and hadn't entirely made it off my property. All the police officers were very nice and it can't be what they joined the police for especially as I heard he threw up just after he'd been taken away. They think he was just a drunk homeless man trying to find somewhere to sleep in my house or to get arrested so he could sleep in the police station.Also apologies to anyone who we've just woken up with our electric drill making safe our window - it was very noisy!
