Looking to join Nanny Share

We are looking to share a nanny with another family in the area for our 18 month old daughter. I work freelance so my work days can vary from week to week. I could commit to a certain number of days per week if that helps. Most of all we are looking for a family with a similar respectful parenting style to us. Please to message me if this is of interest!

Hi, I'm Cristina, I'm from Spain and I'm 23 years old. I'm actually looking for a job as nanny.

I'm already living in London since one week.

A year ago I finished the Degree of Pre-school Teaching and I?m currently studying for the public examinations in Spain, to work as a pre-school teacher or and English teacher. Also I have a certificate in English (First Certificate of Cambridge) and I?m actually studying to get the Advanced Certificate in English.

I was a year between Bradford (England) and Edinburgh (Scotland), studying and performing my placement with young children in different nursery schools.

I have also studied music; I studied piano for five years.

As for my personality, I consider myself a very responsible, orderly, active, outgoing, caring and dynamic person. I like quiet environments, interact with people, enjoy cooking, healthy food, sports, cinema, nature and music. I am not a smoker.

Looking forward to hear from you!

Hello,

Great to see your posting! We have a 20 month old daughter, Nina, and are looking for someone to share our lovely nanny Emma on Mondays and Thursdays at our home in Peckham Rye (Choumert Grove, close to the station). If you think this might suit you, do let me know and we can discuss further. In terms of parenting style, I would say we encourage mutual respect--we are encouraging Nina to be well mannered but also keen to treat her with respect, explain why she shouldn't do things and not just that she shouldn't do them, etc. Very happy to talk about this more.

Our nanny Emma is a highly skilled nanny and former teaching assistant who is currently taking a part time degree in child psychology. At the moment she looks after Nina together with another little girl who has just turned two, based in our home close to Peckham Rye station. Emma takes them out to parks, playgrounds (Warwick Gardens, Peckham Rye

and Goose Green), and the library; makes them nutritious homemade meals; and organises fun arts

and crafts activities in our home. We have a large downstairs space with a piano and toys, and a

small garden where the kids can play.

Our nanny share family have now had another baby and are taking on a nanny who will look after both their children together, so we are looking for someone new to share with.

Emma currently looks after Nina for a short day on Mondays (8am-2pm) and a full day on Thursdays (8am-5pm--finishing at 5pm during term time (i.e. from January to Easter) because of university lectures in the evening--but if 5pm is too early for you, we might be able to arrange a later handover). My husband is also a freelancer and looks after Nina on Monday afternoons.

The cost is ?12/hour in total, i.e. ?6/hour each, inclusive of tax and NI. (We organise the tax and NI, and also have employer's liability insurance.)

Do let me know if you'd like to discuss further.

All the best,

Jane

    • The top front tooth has popped out.  Attempted to fix myself with repair kit bought from Boots, unfortunately it didn’t last long.  Tooth has popped out again.  Unable to get to dentist as housebound but family member can drop off.  I tried dental practice I found online, which is near Goose Green, but the number is disconnected.   The new dental practice in FH (where Barclays used to be) said it’s not something they do.  Seen a mobile dental practice where a technician comes to your home and does the repair but I’m worried about the cost. Any suggestions please? Thank you
    • So its OK for Starmer to earn £74K/annum by renting out a property, cat calling the kettle black....... Their gravy train trundles on. When the Southport story that involves Starmer finally comes out, he's going to be gone, plus that and the local elections in May 2025 when Liebour will get a drumming. Even his own MP's have had enough of the mess they've made of things in the first three months of being in power. They had fourteen years to plan for this, what a mess they've created so quickly, couldn't plan there way out of a paper bag.   Suggest you do the sums, the minimum wage won't  be so minimum when it is introduced, that and the increase in employers national insurance contributions is why so many employers are talking about reducing their cohort of employees and closing shops and businesses.  Businesses don't run at a loss and when they do they close, its the only option for them, you can only absorb a loss for so long before brining the shutters down and closing the doors. Some people are so blinkered they think the sun shines out of the three stooges, you need to wake up soon. Because wait till there are food shortages, no bread or fresh vegetables, nor meat in the shops, bare shelves in the supermarkets because the farmers will make it happen, plus prices spiralling out of control as a result of a supply and demand market. Every ones going to get on the gravy train and put their prices up, It happened before during lockdown, nothing to stop it happening again. You don't shoot the hand that feeds you. Then you'll see people getting angry and an uprising start to happen.  Hungry people become angry people very quickly.
    • Eh? Straight ahead of what?  If you turn left at Goose Green, as you also posted above, you end up at the library. Then the Grove. Then, unless you turn right at the South Circular, you end up at Forest Hill!
    • yes I’ve spotted this too — it’s near me and I’m very intrigued to see what it’ll be 👀👀👀👀
