Hop, Burns and Black - recommendation!

Just wanted to say I popped in here for the first time this evening wanting to get a present for someone's birthday. The guy that served me was polite, helpful and steered me to some lovely sounding beers which were all reasonably priced. He was knowledgable, friendly and the selection of beers and ales were brilliant. I will definitely be calling in again. If you haven't already been, pop in and see for yourselves.

Just to reiterate what a great addition this is to the area. Went again last Friday on the way to a weekend visiting some friends and enjoyed the beers and snacks Friday and Saturday night. The people in there are very friendly and also helpful in picking out new things to try.

I can also confirm, having now tasted some of them, that the selection of beers that were recommended were really lovely, in particular the german bottled lager - I will definitely be buying some more for myself!
