Mariamadeit
If you want younger sibling to go to the same school as older sibling, do you just put that one choice? BellendenBear
Yes, unless there is a chance there are more siblings than places. And make sure you tick the sibling box on the form. njc97
As ever, no harm in putting 6 down. But put sibling school 1st and make sure you tick "sibling" box, as BB said. Mrs TP
Double check exact sibling criteria, e.g. if your existing child in yr 6 now and moving to secondary when the next one starts I'm not sure that counts. Look for oddities like that. Check where siblings come on admissions criteria - so are they the first to be offered places or are there other groups offered first such as local authority referred children. Also speak to the head or similar and ask if they know if siblings are over-subscribed or if the place a certainty.I checked this all out and only put the 1 school on a secondary application last yr for a sibling place. Good luck. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/79513-primary-applications-for-siblings/#findComment-915979 Share on other sites
landsberger
Yes, you can, although you need to realise that not every primary or secondary school prioritises (non-practising) siblings above religious applicants, as some non-religious applicants to VA schools found out last year. You'd be well advised to put more than one choice if applying for a religious school. Carbonara
If the school has had a bulge class in the last few years that will increase the number of sibling applications. I doesn't harm your application to your first choice school to put down a full list of back up schools.
