Well the question was of interest to me as I use the choumert parking lot about once a week. I thought perhaps your post would contain some information about why it could be closed (works been done etc) and might be of interest to me to check before I next went.

Sorry icant answer your question, I used it last Saturday when it was open.

Just to clarify. The council website makes no mention of Saturday or Sunday (see link). It states what the charges are Monday to Friday. So I was trying to find out if it was open at the week-end and presumably free to park or if it was simply shut.

    • They often grow in the angle between wall and pavement which could cause damage to the foundation of the wall and leave the council open to being sued.
    • If weeds are allowed to grow for too long they lift pavements and create obvious tripping hazards. Obviously removing them from your wall and/or garden is unacceptable.
    • This is NEXT WEDNESDAY 11 June! Just turn up if you prefer not to give prior notice! The Palmerston from  7pm, turn left as you come in! (If you have been hiding under a rock, The Palmerston is the pub on Lordship Lane on the corner of North Cross Road).
    • Yes, at first I assumed that the bin men had taken flowering plants from my front garden while getting at my brown food bin, instead of reaching over the wall. I was very confused as I couldn't see any obvious gaps. Surely taking Toadflax from a resident's wall is not part of the council's remit? What next, are they going to come round and trim hedges in front gardens? 🤬
