B&G
I'm looking for a company to install secondary glazing to the front our house. Having done a bit of research I think the sound insulation and cost benefits outweigh having double glazing fitted, for now. Has anyone had this done and would recommend their fitter? I'm also curious as to cost - we're looking to have two large bays and one small window fitted with secondary glazing. Any indication as to price would be really helpful as we have no idea! Thanks so much B&G Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/79235-secondary-glazing-recommendations/ Share on other sites
Peckhampam
I have just had a large 3 windowed bay done by south east secondary glazing. They were prompt and the windows are great. It cost with VAT about ?1000 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/79235-secondary-glazing-recommendations/#findComment-914815 Share on other sites

stevie23b
Secondary glazing is great for sound reduction but it is 'ugly' and the 'smooth' sliding action only lasts a few months. Peckhampam
I have sash windows and the secondary glazing is set inside the inner beading and the panes aligned with the original sash. If you notice it at all it just looks very neat. sanda
@Peckhampam do you have plenty of depth to the windows, or did they squeeze the double glazing in place of the beading?
